Work Performed:
Cleaning of Granite Stairway and Building Entrance

The Bank of America Tower in Charlotte was expected to feature prominently in the city’s 2024 Thanksgiving Parade. That prompted the building’s team to seek help in cleaning the stonework of the elevated front entrance and steps. These gorgeous steps had never been cleaned before and were covered in three decades of extreme calcium buildup.

Our technicians were able to use a wet sand attachment on a pressure washer to sandblast the calcium at 3500 PSI. The team was extra cautious to not damage the LED lights soldered into the steps. We successfully completed the project in eight hours with no damage to the stairs or lights. The client was so happy with the results, they indicated they would use us again as the calcium buildup is an ongoing concern.
