Pressure Washing Raleigh

Pressure washing is an integral part of essential home maintenance. It allows you to remove stains or dirt on your siding, brick and mortar, walkways, and driveways. Once you schedule your appointment, you need to prepare your property for pressure washing services.

Our pressure washing experts will give you a few simple tasks to complete before the job starts, but you can use the tips below to prepare your house at your convenience before the pressure washing crew arrives.

Do You Have Any Open Spaces?

You should take a walk around your home and make sure there are no open spaces, such as unclosed windows, doors that do not close properly, damaged weatherstripping, garage doors that do not close properly, or gaps around the roof or in the siding.

If these gaps are open, water could enter the house and cause damage. It is important to solve any of the above issues before our pressure washing crew comes to your home.

Remove Everything That Gets in the Way

Remove everything on your property that may get in the way. Park your vehicles on the street, and remove children’s toys, patio furniture, tools, gardening equipment, and decorations that could be damaged by pressurized water. If you have tall sprinkler heads around your property, you should mark them so that the pressure washing crew does not trip or fall.

Are Electrical Outlets Closed or Plugged?

Electrical outlets around your home must be covered or adequately plugged in. You can use outdoor plugs for your outlets so that water does not get into the house’s electrical system. If there is a cover, ensure that it clicks shut and remains closed. If you cannot cover or plug these outlets, tell our pressure washing team so that they can take the appropriate steps to protect your home.

If you typically plug in outdoor lights, they should be unplugged and removed. Pressurized water could damage the lights, cables, or outlets. An electrical plug cannot protect the outlet from water damage.

Keep Everyone Inside

Everyone should remain inside during the job. Kids should stay inside even though they are likely very interested in the water tank, the massive hoses, and the cool water jets. If you have outdoor pets, bring them in.

If you want to speak to the pressure washing crew while they are working, call the manager or foreman on-site. Even though the equipment they are using is loud, they keep their phones on vibrate to still be available. Do not go outside to talk to them as you could startle them or walk into a stream of pressurized water.
